  • Do not eat fast. The pace of your eating is supposed to match the speed of digestion. If you eat very fast your stomach does not know it is full until much later and you end up overeating. Chew your food, take your time, and enjoy the food.
  • Remove all the unnecessary additions and set a routine for yourself. Take some time to understand your work/sleep schedule and set fixed times for your food breaks.
  • Increase your water intake. Water will reduce your appetite and help with weight maintenance.
  • Protein is a very essential element. Introduce protein into your food through dairy, nuts, eggs, and lean meat.
  • Ensure that you do not sleep any time, immediately after you have had your food.

As you get used to exercising you may be able to either increase the time-span or the frequency of it during the day. Once your body gets accustomed to exercise you will no longer need to push yourself to do it. It eventually becomes a need of the body itself. 
  • The easiest way to add exercise into life is a daily walk. All you have to do is walk faster than you usually do. Perhaps you are late for class and you’re going to miss that absence if you don’t hurry. It’s the most cost-effective way, after all, you only need a pair of shoes and a little bit of walking space.
  • Exercise gives the best results early in the morning and is going to make you feel active and energetic during the day. Never exercise immediately after you have had your food. Neither is it a good idea to workout during the day on an empty stomach. It may lead you to lose valuable nutrients and end up making you feel nauseatic or weak, especially if you are new to the exercising regime.
  • Reducing your screen time would also indirectly aid your health. Even if you cannot find the time to get proper exercise, reduce the activities that involve you sitting in one place for a long period of time. Try to do that work while moving around a little. 
  • Some of the easier exercises as recommended by experts are squats, pushups, planks, deadlifts, and rows. Start with the first two and slowly ease into the others until you are ready to join a proper gym and work towards making your body fit.

  • It may feel like a very obvious thing, yet is not followed by many. You will wake up lazy, with a heavy head and dark eyes but still not fix your routine. Sleep is essential as it restarts and repairs your body for the next day. Incomplete sleep can prove to be very damaging for your physical and mental wellbeing in the long run.
