The pastel clothing is the magic weapon to add a timeless, romantic, and feminine vibe to your look. The soft hue is the must-have spring and summer staple that you can wear year after year. But if you are doing wrong, pastels will easily ruin your look. Today I'm going to show you how the different pastels work together and how to master wearing the pastels with other outfits, hopefully, it can give you some inspiration.
1. Monochrome
If you are new to wear pastel outfits, picking the same pastel shade from head to toe is a simple way for you to create a minimalist vibe and look incredible. For example, go for the dress or women suits in light blue, lilac lavender, pale yellow, et. And having the similar-shaded shoes /bag match your dress or sets, which seems to elongate and slim down your torso and also easy to wear for everyone.
You can also throw two different textures, fabrics, or shades together for a quite new and interesting creation, just as shown below.
2. Pastel on Pastel
You will be surprised to experiment with matching two pastel shades together. Ice-cream shades are the most ultimate feminine and sweet for spring and summer. You can pick a light pink and opt for what goes good with it, like lemon, light blue, it's so brilliant and beautiful when these two pastels work together. I would suggest you wear an oversized blouse / T-shirt that you can have a bit of effortless casual relaxed vibe and then the shorts/pants as well, which are truly versatile for your SS wardrobe.
While during the fall and winter months, pastel sweaters would look amazing in combination with pants/skirts in the creamy tones. You can also consider a pastel outerwear to add something to the outfits.
3. Pastel with Other Colors
Think about a white outfit because white color can work well with all pastels. The combo can tone down your look yet the pastel really captures attention and give the whole look a sweet and girlish appeal.
Cute pastel outfits can also team up with other pop of colors. For example, a pale blue suits over a yellow camisole— I pretty sure you will achieve a look that is bound to draw attention. Or pastel pink dress with a red coat, which it's so brilliant and add a touch of winter. Or a popping yellow blazer over a violet crop top and pants. Whatever just try to mix your pastel to get a bold yet gentle creation.
4. Pastel with Prints/ Patterns
Prints or patterned pieces are especially trending when mixing with the pastels, especially when those outfits featuring stripes, plaids, or abstract prints. However, please avoid floral which probably makes you look old-fashioned. Instead, you can wear a pastel top with a pair of striped trousers / checkered trousers, which really complements well with this tender hues. Or you could go for a patterned top with solid pastel on the bottom as well.
5. Pastel with Jeans/ Overalls
The denim outfits can be perfectly worn with pastel tops. Lavender, pale lemon, baby pink looks youthful and feminine with jeans. You can opt for the baggy boyfriend jeans for a super comfy feeling and keep it elegant with heels or sandals.
A light denim skinny jeans is another good idea to tone down the color and add an extra touch of femininity in this particular style.
Plus, I personally like pair with bib overalls in pastel hues with a plain t-shirt, which makes a strong contrast and I feel like so statement worthy and ultimate casual as well.
