Sabarmati Ashram

On the western bank of the Sabarmati River, The Sabarmati Ashram is situated in a quiet and shady place. This quiet ashram was the headquarters of Mahatma Gandhi between 1917 and 1930 at the time of the Indian freedom struggle. It was here that the Dandi March was organized and it was here that Mahatma Gandhi shared his meal with Vinoba Bhave.

It is said that Mahatma Gandhi chose this place because it had a prison on one side and the crematorium on the other side, Satyagrahas who had joined the Satyagraha had to reach one of these places. There is also an excellent museum and library inside the ashram.

Girnar

Somnath Temple

It is an ancient Shiva temple, it is also mentioned in history. It is included in the 12 Adi Jyotirlingas. The existing temple was constructed in 1951. Then this temple was built for the seventh time. The temple is built in Chalukya architecture. Even today lakhs of tourists come to visit the temple. During Karthik Purnima, there is a crowd of people here.

Dwarkadhish Temple

The Dwarkadhish Temple in Dwarka, Gujarat is one of the 4 dhams in the country established by Adi Shankaracharya, the city of Dwarka. This temple is dedicated to Shri Krishna. Archaeological discoveries have revealed that this temple is around 2,000 to 2200 years old. 

The building of this temple is 5 storey and its height is 235 meters. The building rests on 72 pillars. It is believed that the Dwarkadhish temple was built by Vajrabha, the grandson of Lord Shri Krishna.

Nearest railway station - Dwarka is connected to many cities of the country via rail network. You will get many trains daily till Dwarka railway station. Once you reach Dwarka station, it is easy for you to go to the temple, because the distance between the station and the temple is just one kilometer.
